Job Duties: |
Oversee creation of application functional specifications, development of application code and implementation. Works at the highest level of all technical phases and leads programming. Critically reviews all programs prior to implementation to verify consistency and conformance with established departmental guidelines, policies, and practices as well as industry standard guidelines. Oversees acceptance testing and program implementation for assigned systems and/or projects. Conducts thorough problem analysis with regards to technical system and applications. Plans the processes necessary to solve business requirements including project definition, project estimation, analysis/design, construction, and implementation. Oversees the support team providing expert technical applications support (programming, patches, upgrade paths, load scripts, complex integration, etc.) and development for existing or new business applications. Works independently on routine or complex assignments using standard practices for software analysis, development, implementation, and support (design, programming, patches, load scripts, complex integration, etc). Defines and develops practical information system specifications from business requirements, utilizing context diagrams, prototyping, flowcharts, presentations, and layouts for solutions for simple to complex business problems. Guides and/or performs the detailed design and development activities for the entire application regardless of scope. |

Qualifications and Experience Required: |
Requires 5 years experience as job offered software consultant, engineer or related field. Requires proficiency in the following skills: Java, C, C++ and SQL. Requires travel/relocation to unanticipated client sites throughout U.S. |
